Kris - owner & main groomer

Hi, my name is Kris! I am the owner of Puppy Love and have been involved with dogs all my life. I have had a career as a professional show dog handler for over 30 years, where I learned to groom dogs to a specific standard. I started showing dogs in 4H, then as a career, competing at Westminster and Crufts, among other prestigious shows. I use my knowledge from grooming show dogs and apply that to my business at Puppy Love, where we treat every dog as a show dog!

I have owned Puppy Love since 1994 and continue to devote my life to grooming your wonderful pets and continue to show my own dogs in performance events.

Vanessa - kennel manager

I'm Vanessa and I have been working at Puppy Love for almost 10 years. My job is giving love and attention to your furry babies while they are staying with us.

Zoe - groomer

I'm Zoë! I was born here in Durango and have been working at Puppy Love since 2021. I love working with dogs and making them feel fresh and clean!

Melissa - groomer

I have been an avid animal lover all my life; currently owning most species of farm animals and one spoiled Australian shepherd. I first worked at Puppy Love in 2003 and then returned July 2023. I have enjoyed fitting my kids 4H animals so the opportunity to groom dogs has been right up my alley & I really enjoy it. What I love most about grooming is getting the opportunity to work with so many different breeds of dogs and to learn specific clips. When I'm not working on your pups I stay busy spending time with my hubby, two kiddos, riding horses or working with 4H animals!

Hannah - groomer

My name is Hannah, I was born in Glenwood Springs and moved to Durango when I was 3. I have been working in some way as a dog groomer since High School. I started working at Puppy Love during 2019 and absolutely love it.

Victoria - groomer

Hi! My name is Victoria. I am 24 years old. I moved to Durango this last September from Killington, VT, but I am originally from Thomaston, CT. I have always had so much love for animals, so recently decided to take a risk and completely change my career path from finance. I could not be happier with my decision. Working at Puppy Love with dogs, as well as working at El Rancho del Perro Feo with horses and cows makes me so incredibly happy. My new goal is to one day own my own mobile dog grooming business and continue doing what I love!

Hannah - kennel attendant

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am 20 years old. I was born and raised in Durango, Colorado. I started working at Puppy Love in April 2024. I absolutely love learning more and more about animals everyday and find so much joy in taking care of them!

Taylor - kennel attendant

My name is Taylor! I am from Houston, Texas. I am a pre-vet student at Fort Lewis College. I have been working here since last August! I love dogs and all animals and am excited to continue my jouney to becoming a veterinarian!

Kennedy - kennel attendant

My name is Kennedy, and I'm from Houston, Texas. I'm currently a Pre-Vet student at Fort Lewis College with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian and dedicating my career to caring for animals. I have worked at Puppy Love Kennel since August of 2024 and love working with small animals. I'm excited to continue learning and gaining hands-on experience to better serve animals for many years to come.

Stephanie - kennel attendant

Hi, my name is Stephanie. I was born in Englewood, and I moved to Durango in 2014. I started as a kennel tech at Annie's Orphans in October of 2022, and joined Puppy Love in November of 2024. I will absolutely run through water to save your dog!
